For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead "Come back to God!" 2Corinthians 5:19-20
Today's prayer will be focused on reconciliation. Many times in our lives we can become distant from friends or family due to an issue or problem with disagreeing opinions. The reconcilaition above is talking about Christ taking on all that stuff, and more so that we can be back to God.
So, here are my thoughts are if we are to live as Christ, then should we not be able to forgive the those who have either treated us poorly or people from broken relationships that still hurt? If we are to be Christ's Ambassidors then yes we should!
Sometimes it does not seem possible because the pain may be too deep. But I beleive that if we pray and ask Christ to help us we can begin to forgive, and then wholey forgive the person or people.
Then we can pray asking them to reconnect us, or rebuild the relationships. Our God shall supply all our needs remember?
He sees the need to reconcile, we see the need to forgive them just as Jesus did, and we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.
So, today we will pray for those who have been selfish and not thought of our feelings in a situation, for the words said in a situation, healing for both sides as well!
Just Like Jesus!
