So the day goes on and you realize once you are at work, class or shopping, that you
forgot to pray! What do you do?
Pray anyway!
Stop where you are, close your eyes if its safe, and ask God to forgive your forgetting Him, then go on with it! Thank Him for today, Thank Him for being there when you need Him. Ask Him to set a reminder to meet with Him when you awake each day.
Don't let condemnation plague you because you did not do it right away, God is still there! He still loves you.
So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you[b] from the power of sin that leads to death. The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins. Romans 8:1-3
Don't let yourself get caught up in the forgetfulness, just pray when you can! The man thing is to connect with God on a daily basis, the time helps but its not necessary to pray first thing.
I like first thing because it focuses my day. I also pray throughout the day at random times, because it draws me into His presence more clearly when I am going through things.
Who cares that you missed first thing? Don't feel bad , just get it next time and talk to Him when you can, like I said, God is still here!

Heavenly Father, thank you for being here and never leaving us or forsaking us, or abandoning us, but just being here for us! Help us to find peace in our hearts today, we give you the glory and honor for all that we do, and ask help to not be too busy minded to miss our time with You in the morning... in Jesus' name
