What are you ending with? Countdown In His Word 12-29-2025

 What are you thinking with?

What are you thinking about as we get closer to the change in the calendar? What will you do in the new year, 2026?

I'm going to hang out in Matthew 6 for a bit.  As we finish the old year and start the new one, lets try not to worry about what will be ahead. We need to listen up and do what it says, because we can really hinder our walk if we keep wondering and worrying about the 'what if's' of life. Don't worry just do it!

For instance what if you open your mouth to speak the Word of God to someone and they accept the truth and ask Jesus to become a part of their lives?

When we look ahead to what could be, what we would like to be and what we are hoping for; we need to seek God first!

If we plan to take a trip, or build a house, or buy one; we need to seek God first.

If we plan to switch jobs or create a business, we need to seek God first. The verses below tell us not to worry about the needs we have but to seek Him and His kingdom and God's righteousness and that these things will be added unto us. So when we keep our hearts and minds focused on the Word, praying about what we need to do next, well He will show us the way. When we seek Him first, the good will roll out before us and we wil be able to walk before us, and God will guide our steps.

“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing?  Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are?  Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?

“And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing,  yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are.  And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?

“So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today. Matthew 6:25-34

We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.[a] Because of the joy[b] awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne. Hebrews 12:2

Heavenly Father guide our steps, help us to keep our eyes on You that your steps will be all that we follow to the destinations you have put before us. In Jesus name , amen
