Onward! Let's go! Continued Couintdown 2025 Day 26

...Onward! Let's go! Continued countdown 2025 Day26

Here we go! its the most unused days of the year!

We all write or speak about the advent then suddenly it stops... but it doesn't really because life is going on. Some people put away things from the celebration today, others keep on partying, even more just wallow away the hours with friends and family in a 'just hang out' mode. When our kdis were y oung we took time visiting with all the family. From one set of grands and family outing to another we shared love and memories. We used to drive for hours to get there and then back and forth about 45 mins then 20 mins to see all the peoples. I have to admit it was a lot of car time. Even still we fit every moment in because we lived 12 and 16 hours away from family.  It was what we did to help our kids get to know their grandparents and Aunties and Uncles. We did this nearly every years rain, sleet and snow did not stop us because we loved our families and knew they missed us.

Okay how is this relevant Teresa? Tody is a day that gets missed a lot. We say Christmas is over. Now what?

Well I say we need to focus on Jesus even more today!~

Pray for people even more today!

Think of those who need Him, who just went through a holiday of nothingness in relation to Christ, they just did not get the love, the family, or the faith time.

Today let's focus on how we can improve today, clean up our wrapping and clean up our act! Let's spend time in the Word of God. This week try to see how far into the Bible you can get, start with the New Testament, you've already been reading the story of Jesus's birth so keep going from there!

Jesus Heals on the Sabbath One Sabbath day Jesus went to eat dinner in the home of a leader of the Pharisees, and the people were watching him closely.  There was a man there whose arms and legs were swollen. Jesus asked the Pharisees and experts in religious law, “Is it permitted in the law to heal people on the Sabbath day, or not?” When they refused to answer, Jesus touched the sick man and healed him and sent him away. Then he turned to them and said, “Which of you doesn’t work on the Sabbath? If your son or your cow falls into a pit, don’t you rush to get him out?” Again they could not answer.

When Jesus noticed that all who had come to the dinner were trying to sit in the seats of honor near the head of the table, he gave them this advice:  “When you are invited to a wedding feast, don’t sit in the seat of honor. What if someone who is more distinguished than you has also been invited?  The host will come and say, ‘Give this person your seat.’ Then you will be embarrassed, and you will have to take whatever seat is left at the foot of the table!

“Instead, take the lowest place at the foot of the table. Then when your host sees you, he will come and say, ‘Friend, we have a better place for you!’ Then you will be honored in front of all the other guests.  For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.” Then he turned to his host. “When you put on a luncheon or a banquet,” he said, “don’t invite your friends, brothers, relatives, and rich neighbors. For they will invite you back, and that will be your only reward. Instead, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind. Then at the resurrection of the righteous, God will reward you for inviting those who could not repay you.” Luke 14:1-14
