In His Love, In His Word/ Advent 12-22-2025
Believing in God is believing in Jesus as the Son, the Christ, the Savior, etc. as I pointed out yesterday to know Him is to love Him.
We over come sin and other troublesome issues with the faith that receive from Him and in His love we are strengthened and giving direction. He has overcome for us really, so via the Holy Spirit we can overcome anything that tries to get in our way!
Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has become a child of God. And everyone who loves the Father loves his children, too. We know we love God’s children if we love God and obey his commandments. Loving God means keeping his commandments, and his commandments are not burdensome. For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.1 John 5:1-5
If we go back a verse r two to 1 John 4:20-21 we will read that if someone says I love God and yet hates his brother or sister than do not really love God. How can we love God, whom he cannot see and yet still love, and not love someone he can see? Plus, we have heard the commandment to love one another, love God and love people!
16 We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love.
God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world. Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love. 19 We love each other because he loved us first.1 John 4:16-18
Only when we walk in His Word will we be able to love one another as He loves us.
When we abide in His love we are living, breathing, thinking, walking, talking, naturally as He would be cause we are living in His love literally and Spiritually as we have the Holy Spirit walking with us.
That was a long sentence, re read it!
To know love, as I said yesterday is to know God. God by way of Jesus put man’s salvation before His own life. He took our pain, because He loves us, took our sins, because He loves us.
Love is not something that is given just because someone deserves to be loved. In fact if that were the case most of us would not be loved by God. We love because He first loved us. We love others because He first loved us and we cannot contain such love in ourselves so it over flows onto those around us! That’s my take on it! Also we love because He told us to love one another. Let’s do our best to obey God and love one another not just this time of year, or this day but every day of our lives! Its not always easy, but do it anyway!
Heavenly Father, thank you for reminding us in Your Word to love one another, help us to include this in our month, but also each day on earth! In Jesus’ name, and In His love.
