Where do You Go? In His Word 10-13-2025 and 11-7-2005

Where do you go? In His Word 10-13-2025 and 11-7-05

When the world is crashing in, and you see poor and defeated people around you just struggling to survive, how do you find relief? When you are feeling like the enemy is about to win, and you really do not want to sin, where do you go to get strength to go on?

In His Word!

Someone, just this week in 2025 reminded us at our group coffee meet and Bible time, that it is good for us to look back and see how God came through for us before and He will do it again. So, don’t forget about the past wins, but let go of the past pains and hurts because they are what will bring you up instead of down! Remind yourself that God has got your best in mind and that people do not always do that. Then let the people go! Forgive them, they are human like us, and when we feel like things are crashing usually it has to do with a person who is knocking things over in our lives.

It could be a hurt feeling from a conversation not going how we thought they should go, and the other person decided to ‘get even’ by pushing issues around us. Or it could even just be life itself having issue after issue that threatens to pull you out of your Joy Zone and into one of frustration or even fear. We need to remember to apply the Faith over Fear scriptures as well as how to keep that focus. There are some scriptures in this older devotion here from 11-07-05 that may help us to better battle against feelings of weakness. I will add another one!

In Philippians 4:13 it says I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength!  It is truth, our strength is in Him. Sometimes we just need to say like Jesus did, when the enemy, the adversary, Satan was tormenting him on His 40 day fast; Jesus called him out on it!

Jesus said to him "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.'"  Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.             Matthew 4:10-11

Also remember this one!

From that time on Jesus began to preach, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near."  Matthew 4:17

But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, "Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well." And the woman was made well from that hour. Matthew 9:20-22

The most encouragement we can have to block the enemy from pursuing us and causing us consternation is to remember who is in charge of our lives since we gave Him the position of Lord and what He said in the Word man times is to follow Him, His example, and His directions.

Then Jesus cried out and said, "He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me.  And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me. I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness. And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him -- the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak."          John 12:44-50

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore, be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.  To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.  "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."                   Revelation 3:19-22      nkjv

Here is a bit of prose or poetry to encourage us today!

When the problems of this world surround us what do we do?

I have said it before and I will say it today!

Stop Drop and Pray!

When the worry and troubles just won’t go away…

Stop Drop and Pray!

When the fears of your troubles leave you in dismay…

Stop Drop and Pray!

Don’t sit there and wait for them to disappear,

He’s waiting for you,

He’s lending an ear.

He’s listening, waiting and eagerly so

Looking to see just what way you will go?

Continue to struggle, and stress all day through?

Or give it to Jesus,

Now what will you do?

I tell you there’s only one thing I can see.

I wont get too far if I leave it to me!

There’s only one answer when I am unglued,

I have to reach up to that really cool dude!

I know that My Lord and my Savior will say,

“I only was waiting for you just to pray!”

So stop being so busy, so hurried and rushed,

Get over there on your knees

And do not blush,

Before the nest summer, before the next crop,

All that you have to do is let those knees drop!

When things are so crazy you don’t want to play!

Don’t think but a minute

Just- STOP DROP AND PRAY!

Why stop? Because if you keep doing what you are doing at the moment you re stressing or worried it won’t go away! You have to stop what you are doing to pray anyway.

Why drop? Because if you take the time that it takes to kneel, and humble yourself in the presence of the Lord, you will be in a better posture, and pressure level to receive what He gives you in an answer.

Why pray? Because our answer will be found in prayer. Because He is listening to you regardless and when we give up the need to Him. That is when we give it to Him to work on, we can get rid of it. We can literally let go of the worry of how to pay our bills, when we give it to Jesus to take care of. We can let our faith take care of the problem. Our faith in God that is to do what He said He would! Just as the lady with an issue of blood for so many years did, we can touch the hem of His garment and be healed. If just believing allows us to receive the blessing He has promised then why is it so many people have not done it?

That’s what you are asking yourself right now!

Well, He said so many times that their faith made them whole, but it was whom they had faith in that carried it through.

They trusted God to bless them with healing because they believed in Him to do and they were healed.

Having faith in the mailman to bring me my mail does not always get us the mail when we want it. But it does get here. It’s sort of the same way with God and His timing, when He answers a need it is not always when we think it should be; but when He knows it should be. Remember that His timing is perfect! Once we reflect on time past we will see that He has definitely come through that it was just in the nick of time before for us and know that we can trust Him to do so again!

It is not something you do, it’s not about you being so good that God will heal you, or provide for you, but it is about trust, belief and faith in God to do what He promises. For His promises are always true!

Dear heavenly Father, Thank you Lord for today. Lord I ask that you bless us all today with your love, your patience and your provision for each and every need we have. For Your words tell us that you will provide for us just as You do for the sparrows. Thank you for this and for each and every request we offer up today being answered, In Jesus name, amen.
