Stop Hoarding the Truth! In His Word 7-14-2025

Don’t be a hoarder of the truth!  In His Word 7-14-2025

A hoarder is someone who keeps things to themselves, for random reasons they don't share and pile up things, some good some not, but the Word of God cries out of our souls to be shared!

 Think for a moment....

What would happen if Moses did not go back for the Children of Israel? Or what if he kept the commands to himself?

What if Jesus did not say those famous heartfelt words “Thy will be done…” in the garden?

If we know that Jesus came and died to give us salvation and to save His People even when they did not all believe, He tried, He spoke the Words and prayed to the Father when He was on earth walking among them. He could have kept I to Himself.

Where would we be now? You know the saying right? “There but for the grace of God go I!”

So, if Jesus came even knowing people may not listen, would not listen, to the Truth and continued to teach the people who would teach the people who would teach the people and eventually it would trickle down to our personal lives and salvation would touch us; why can’t we? He didn’t want to do it the way He had to die, or whatever specifically He asked the Father to take from Him in the garden, and yet He still did it.

I like to think that Jesus, God Himself, was obedient to God the Father Himself, to die for us out of obedience to the will of God Himself.  If He can do all that, then why can’t we share a bit of God’s Word with someone out there? Why can’t we be bold like Jesus and the disciples, instead of keeping it to ourselves?

“Oh but if I talk about Jesus they wont listen, or they will think I’m crazy, or nerdy, or weird…” but what if they don’t? What if they do? Will it really be the end? Is it a reason to keep them from finding Jesus as their Lord?

He came to his own people, and even they rejected him.  But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.  They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God. John 1:11-13

My dear brothers and sisters, if someone among you wanders away from the truth and is brought back,  you can be sure that whoever brings the sinner back from wandering will save that person from death and bring about the forgiveness of many sins. James 5:19-20

Dear brothers and sisters, the longing of my heart and my prayer to God is for the people of Israel to be saved.  I know what enthusiasm they have for God, but it is misdirected zeal.  For they don’t understand God’s way of making people right with himself. Refusing to accept God’s way, they cling to their own way of getting right with God by trying to keep the law.  For Christ has already accomplished the purpose for which the law was given. As a result, all who believe in him are made right with God.

For Moses writes that the law’s way of making a person right with God requires obedience to all of its commands. But faith’s way of getting right with God says, “Don’t say in your heart, ‘Who will go up to heaven?’ (to bring Christ down to earth). And don’t say, ‘Who will go down to the place of the dead?’ (to bring Christ back to life again).” In fact, it says, “The message is very close at hand; it is on your lips and in your heart.” And that message is the very message about faith that we Romans 10:1-8

And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.  Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned.” Mark 16:14-16

Don’t just keep it to yourselves!

Jesus gave us the instructions; He gave us the Holy Spirit to guide us in telling someone about Him so that they will know the truth and the truth will set them free as well.

If you do not know the words to speak, read through the book of Romans with us in August! We will take a walk down Romans Road and share the gospel as we go!

This is only the beginning-Jesus told you to go and tell the world!  Go DWJWD Do what Jesus would do today!

In His Love,
