No Worries! God's got this!

No Worries! God's got this! 6-30-2025

The way the world is going lately I hear so many people who are getting impatient with the return of Jesus to come. They claim to know the day or the hour, in the past we have even had people who staked their life on certain dates. But Jesus told us that we would not know the day or the hour but that we should live each day as if it were that day that He would return.  (see Matthew 24:35-36, 25:13 read all of Matthew 25 really, and Mark 13:31-33)

We can get caught up in the cares of the world and get lost in living life how we should be while we wait.

Stop worrying and complaining about all the things going on! God is still in control!

In James Chapter 5 starting at the 7th verse he addresses this. He tells us to be patient, knowing that the time will come. Just as the rain comes to water the fields in spring each year the plants grow then when they are read to ripen they do. Things are going to happen in the world, our job is not to stress over it but to care for those whom God has put before us. Plant the seeds, allow the Holy Spirit to water the seeds and wait for them to grow.

Dear brothers and sisters,[c] be patient as you wait for the Lord’s return. Consider the farmers who patiently wait for the rains in the fall and in the spring. They eagerly look for the valuable harvest to ripen. You, too, must be patient. Take courage, for the coming of the Lord is near.

Don’t grumble about each other, brothers and sisters, or you will be judged. For look—the Judge is standing at the door! For examples of patience in suffering, dear brothers and sisters, look at the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord.  We give great honor to those who endure suffering. For instance, you know about Job, a man of great endurance. You can see how the Lord was kind to him at the end, for the Lord is full of tenderness and mercy. But most of all, my brothers and sisters never take an oath, by heaven or earth or anything else. Just say a simple yes or no, so that you will not sin and be condemned. James 5:7-12

Don’t complain at other believers for where they are in their walk, its easy to do this!  We can see how the Lord is opening up the Word to us and get all excited and unload on others too much for them to understand. They may get confused instead of growing. Sort of like when you over water the plants because you don’t believe the weather report that claims rain is on the horizon!  Or you could look at it as the path we are on, we know it is narrow to Righteousness, so we need to remember only so many people can fit side by side and allow others before or behind us. Don’t just judge people because you think you know what they should be like, or be doing, because, if for no other reason, when you judge you are also asking for judgement on yourself. Treat others how Jesus would treat them today. Trust the Holy Spirit to lead them, share the type of learning level they are at, don’t overwhelm them with the depth of the Word until they are ready to hear it. Many have walked away not knowing the truth that way.

Instead of forcing them to learn before they are ready Pray for them!

Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises. Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven. Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.  Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years!  Then, when he prayed again, the sky sent down rain and the earth began to yield its crops.

My dear brothers and sisters, if someone among you wanders away from the truth and is brought back,  you can be sure that whoever brings the sinner back from wandering will save that person from death and bring about the forgiveness of many sins. James 5:13-20

Pray for yourself, pray for others in need, and confess your sins to one another. We do these because they hold us accountable to our releasing both the prayers to God and the sins too!

We can actually wander .off from the truth, probably more so today than when this was written. The reason is so many cults out there are working to word their lies in the form of Bible truths. But they twist one or more verses to fit their needs, desires, or  plans and build a religion on that.

They make what is bad, look like it is good. This is why we need to know Jesus personally and not just through the preachers and teachers, but as our own personal savior, Lord, friend and the director of our life. If we just follow people we will find ourselves in the mud. I kid you not!  So may people in the days of my being a Christian have wandered off thinking this person or that person was the only one who knew the truth, when they were just after money, or other pleasures of the world!  Look to the Lord, follow His directions, His commands, and pray daily to keep connected. Read the rest of the book of James and then read it again!  I will be posting more questions this week so be sure and watch for them!  There will also be a blog on this chapter on Youtube, there is a link here someplace.

( last week I posted one and it may or may not have worked, email teresa@teresawilson.com if it did not work and I will send you a new one!)
