Study it Out to Give it Out! -In the Word 9-2-2024
No matter
where you are or what you are doing there is always time and place to share the
love of God and the Way to everlasting life!
Its funny
but as we travel in Summertime to have family trips, or camps, or whatever it
is we often do not think about the fact that we had to prepare for that!
So why not
prepare our hearts and minds to preach, teach, or just plain share the Gospel
of Christ with someone today?
So, let’s
not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a
harvest of blessings if we don’t give up. Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity,
we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.
Notice what large letters i use as i write these closing words in my own
handwriting.) Ephesians6:9-11
Paul spent so
much of his life studying to be ‘right’ in the order of Jewish training. He had
studied the scriptures to become a Rabi, or Pharisee. He was also of Roman birth which gave him a
higher level of learning. His teacher of the Law was thought to be one of the
most wise men of his time, all people listened to him it says in Acts chapter
5.
So thought
he was a learned man and considered very
wise, he was mistaken a out the Christ followers of the day and thought they
should be murdered, but then…the road to Damascus happened! HE met Christ face
to face and was blinded so he could see the truth! God of course healed him and
gave him the real truth Man cannot be
good enough to get into heaven on merit. Not even the best person you know can be
saved without Christ.
The urgency
that Paul had found took him the rest of his life to fulfill! Even to the ery
end of his life as you can read in 2 Timothy 4 and even Ephesians,6 here tells
of this being his last word to them! He wrote the last encouragement to follow Christ
to many before he passed on to be with Jesus. He wanted to prepare us all!
This same urgency
should be in each of our lives, just like it was when we first realized the
truth and chose to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved! We wanted the
whole world to know!
Now that is
the first step since we were baptized! If
you not yet been baptized , I urge you to study and understand the meaning of
it as an outward show of your choice to follow Jesus.
IT is not
just about you getting dunked in a tub of water, or a river, or lake, but it is
about sharing that you believe. IT is committing your life outwardly so others
could not wonder only but know for sure the reason you have changed from your old
self to the new man, woman or child, that
you are today.
So we have stopped evaluating others from a
human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point
of view. How differently we know him now! This means that anyone who belongs to Christ
has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! And all of
this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God
has given us this task of reconciling people to him. 2
Corinthians 5:16-18
You see we
were given the task to share with other people! Helping them to reconcile themselves
to God. That they too may be saved. We must, not just should, teach them, share
with them, encourage them in the Word that they will know the truth and it will
set them free from the bondage of sin and death.
Without Christ
we would have been wallowing in the piles we heaped up before ourselves. Stuff
we gather throughout our lives clutters up our minds and causes us to sin,
without even thinking it’s a sin!
I was once
one such person who thought I could be good enough to get to heaven on y merit,
God opened my eyes to the truth through the Word and other people’s
testimonies! Had it not heard I would not know the truth and thus I would not
have written these few books to share the Gospel! To encourage right living,
and study of the Bible is my main calling I would say ,to all people of all
walks of life in all nations as Jesus sent us out to do!
And Jesus
came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven
and on earth. Go therefore and make
disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of
the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching
them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you
always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. Matthew 28 18-20
How can we
teach them unless we are taught? How can we be taught if we do not study the
Word of God, to show ourselves approved by God… Get into the Word today and
study it! Do more than a piece of the Word but read at least a chapter a day!
Then stop and think about what you read. Study any words you do not quite
understand.
Find truth,
hope, and guidance, in His Word today!
Ps. Look up
the verses you recognize from portions of this blog today, see where they are
from, comment in the section below! I know them, but I want you to search for them and find them,
just like Jesus!
