 Hey! Did you stop and think about it? In His Word 6-17-2024

Not that He needs our permission, but I find this verse in this Psalm interesting because it says, “‘let God arise”. This gives me the thought that we are allowing Him to arise.

This gives me thought to am I stifling the Holy Spirit in some way when I do not sing to God and give praises to His name? Will I not be lifting Him up from there earth?

When I read many of the Psalms I can really hear the songs the people would sing with these as a starter point. If I did not read the rest of the chapter I would not know more about this singing, this scattering of the enemy. If I did not read the full Bible I would  not know how this Psalm fits in to the History of the Israelites, and God’s Chosen people. He takes care of His own!

 Let God arise,

Let His enemies be scattered.

Let those also who hate Him flee before Him.

As smoke is driven away,

So, drive them away;

As wax melts before the fire,

So let the wicked perish at the presence of God. But let the righteous be glad.

Let them rejoice before God; Yes, let them rejoice exceedingly.

Sing to God, sing praises to His name.

Extol Him who rides on the clouds,

By His name Yah and rejoice before Him. Psalm 68 1-4

When we lift God up or focus on His goodness, the things of the world, in our lives that hinder us, that cause us consternation, that put us in a mood; they all go away in the light of His glory and grace!

How would I know all of those things if I did not call unto God, call out to God and ask Him to be part of my life? The funny thing is the One who created my life is the One whom I invite into my life. Yet, in all reality He is my life!~

If we stop and really think about the Word when we read it and do not just whiz on through getting it done, we will find peace, hope, and comfort. As well as love, joy, and a kindred spirit who will instruct us in all things called the Holy Spirit!

If you ever wonder why I keep writing ‘In His Word’ know this; His Word brings us life and we need to read it daily, often, and think about it, and learn it in order to know it. When we know it then we will know God truly, and gain life giving words ourself to be able to share with others. I want to be able to answer questions I never knew I had! In reading the Word of God we can do this! I desire for others, that means you, to read the Word with thought, with enjoyment and with growth. My work is to share bits to get you hungry for it, then your job is to get~ In His Word!
