31 Days of Prayer ~ In His Word 1-7-2024
When researching scriptures on prayer I always look at the context.
Jesus said this right before we read to keep asking and seeking and knocking. We
need to be cautious when we pray with people that it is with people who know
God personally. If we pray with someone who is all about themselves other than
what is truth, well it can be a lost cause. Useless prayers are the kind that
fail to produce fruit.
Don’t waste what is holy on people who are unholy. Don’t throw your
pearls to pigs! They will trample the pearls, then turn and attack you.
“Keep on asking, and you will
receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking,
and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone
who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. Matthew
7:6-8
That said, do not forget to bring the people and things before God to
find the truth. People need the Lord even if they think they already know Him they need that close relationship to
know the truth and then they will be set free from the ‘audience of prayer’ mentality
and join you in the prayer of faith believing that God will bring it to pass.
Keep praying until you find peace over the answer coming! Open the door!
Heavenly Father, help us to open doors for other people to know You
through our prayers. Help us to be real in prayer and not focused on how great
we sound to people but how honest we are to You, IN Jesus’ name. Amen
