Day 8 Advent Countdown -in His Word
The best gifts are those that God gives us and I think that is because He gives them with love and our best in mind. When we give a gift to someone we have to think about thier heart, thier mind and thier life. Only then can we figure out what is the best thing. God is so good that He knows us so well to give us the perfect spiritual gift for each of us. With these gifts we can help others, and God's Kingdom can grow and be strong!
There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all. There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord. 1 Corinthians 12:4-5
A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other. To one person the Spirit gives the ability to give wise advice to another the same Spirit gives a message of special knowledge same Spirit gives great faith to another, and to someone else the one Spirit gives the gift of healing. He gives one person the power to perform miracles, and another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the ability to discern whether a message is from the Spirit of God or from another spirit. Still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages, while another is given the ability to interpret what is being said. It is the one and only Spirit who distributes all these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have. 1 Corinthians 12:7-11
Of course the best gift was Christ sacrificing for us, let's be sure and celebrate the season of giving with Christ Jesus in mind! Pray first, then watch the person enough to know what to give them. Then do it ~ in His Love
