Day 27 Advent count down and beyond! In His Word 12-27-2023
Do you have a plan for the coming year? God had a plan long before Christ was born, He set in motion events that would bring about the time and the place for Jesus to be born. According to Paul God’s plan included not just the Jews, His people, but we Gentiles. He kept that a secret from the beginning of time.
Now all glory to God, who is able to make you strong, just
as my Good News says. This message about Jesus Christ has revealed his plan for
you Gentiles, a plan kept secret from the beginning of time. But now as the prophets foretold and as the
eternal God has commanded, this message is made known to all Gentiles
everywhere, so that they too might believe and obey him. Romans 16:25-26
We Gentiles became Christians as we learned of the Christ
and believed in who He is and accepted Him as our Savior and Lord. In this we
chose to obey Him and do as the Word of God instructs us to do with our lives.
Each day we should read something from the Word of God, our Holy Bible, and
glean from it. We should take what we read and apply it to our lives in a way
that we can give God the glory for the great things He does every day!
If you have not begun a daily prayer and reading time I can
suggest a few books, they are here on the right of this page. When I began
writing 365 days in His Love, it was to help some friends get started in the
daily reading and prayer routine. Once you get started you usually will find it
is like your morning coffee or tea! You feel the need to read! You really care to
take time for prayer!
If you think you cannot do this after the month we have been
having try the books! The prayer one
starts with the simple daily “Good Morning Lord, thank you for today…” it
expands as you go so that you will find yourself readily praying first thing
without a struggle and find your day goes so much better with the habit formed!
