Day 23~ Advent Countdown- In His Word 12-23-2023
Are you in a hurry today to get things done? Are you trying
to rush around and get to all the stores fast as you can so you can get home
and prepare the food and gifts?
God prepared the gift of Jesus, and the shepherds hurried to
find Him as soon as they had heard!
Do you know that after they saw Mary, Joseph and the baby
they went off telling everyone they saw what they had seen and heard about this
baby who would be King of Kings! Then they went back to work, to their sheep,
and worshipped and praised God! They were so amazed at how it happened just
like it was told to them!
They hurried to the village and found Mary and Joseph. And
there was the baby, lying in the manger. After seeing him, the shepherds told
everyone what had happened and what the angel had said to them about this
child. All who heard the shepherds’
story were astonished, but Mary kept all these things in her heart and thought
about them often. The shepherds went back to their flocks, glorifying and
praising God for all they had heard and seen. It was just as the angel had told
them. Luke 2:16-20
Have you told anyone yet? Have you told them that Jesus was
born? Have you told them He loves them?
Don’t make today about only doing the rush around stuff, instead make it also a day of sharing the Good News that Jesus was born and came to safe us, that He died and rose again so that we too may rise up and meet Him someday! Tell somebody what Jesus did for you! For them too!
