Daily Advent Countdown-In His Word 12-1-2023
In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with
God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. John 1:1-2
Since Jesus was there in the beginning, and today as many
people around the world begin celebrating in various different ways on
different days leading up to the day we call Christmas, I want us to pause and
reflect on the fact that He was there. God, Jesus was there when the world was
formed. Stars in the sky, fish in the sea, all of it. He took the nothingness
that existed here and created it all. What is extra awesome is the fact it gave
Him pleasure to create it. In Genesis 1 He says at the end of each day that “He
saw that it was good.”
Today no matter where we are in life, how much you have
done, or lived through we want Him to say “It is good” at the end of the day.
Let’s live our life today, whatever we do, as He would have us live it, ignoring
people’s petty behavior, anger, or fears, and replace it with the Joy of the Lord and His peace.
Today let’s thank Jesus for being there, for us. In Jesus’
name, and In His Love.
