Stand Your Ground and Count Down Day 6
Before you go outside you put on clothes that will protect you from the elements. Most people do not grab flip-flops to walk in the snow. The reason for the preparations to protection is obvious with some weather and it is wise to choose the right clothes.
Going to work or going shopping this month you need these
scriptures below to be prepared for what you have to accomplish. Walking in God’s
work or serving the Lord through whatever mission in life you have been set on requires
us to do the same. We need to be prepared spiritually, emotionally, and
mentally to walk the walk before us. Paul gave the Ephesians a final word on
the matter, because it’s not about you or me, but its about being prepared for
His kingdom works!
When you are prepared then you will be able to stand against the wiles of the devil stand your ground against those who try to upset you, and stand your ground when the weather outside is frightful!
A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
Put on all of God’s armor so that you
will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not
fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and
authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and
against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on every piece of
God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then
after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of
truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace
that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition
to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the
devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which
is the word of God. Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay
alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere. And pray
for me, too. Ask God to give me the right words so I can boldly explain God’s
mysterious plan that the Good News is for Jews and Gentiles alike. I am in
chains now, still preaching this message as God’s ambassador. So, pray that I
will keep on speaking boldly for him, as I should. Ephesians 6:10-20
Get ready and stand strong now in His power and might! Be
ready to speak, to ward off the enemy with the Scriptures in the Bible, God’s Word.
Keep that armor on so you do not slip up!
Remind yourself that your mind is protected, remind yourself that God is in control of your
direction, get your feet ready with the Gospel of peace in your heart and mind
and it will be easy to share Jesus this Christmas season!
May you find peace, and power in the Holy Spirit as you head
out with Joy!
In His love,
