Stand out! Countdown Day 28
Do you know that the Word tells us
that we are known by our fruits? To stand out for God's plan in our lives and to do the right thing in His eyes not the world's? It also tells us to be careful who we believe.
We need to be sure that who we listen to, or follow, is peaking the truth of
the Word. We look at the fruits of their labors. If they bring forth good fruit
or bad.
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. Matthew 7:15-17
So how can we be certain to bring
for good fruit ourselves? By reading the word and thinking and doing the things
in Philippians 4.
…and the peace of God, which
surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ
Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble,
whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely,
whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is
anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and
heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.
Philippians 4:7-9
The most important thing is to be
careful of who you are around, if they put forth good fruit, hang with them! If
not, run away. Pray for them at a distance but be sure to stay close enough to
see the change in their fruit.
And what union can there be between
God’s temple and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God said:
“I will live in them and walk among them, I will be their God, and they will be my people. Therefore, come
out from among unbelievers, and separate yourselves from them, says the Lord.
Don’t touch their filthy things, and I will welcome you. And I will be your
Father, and you will be my sons and
daughters, says the Lord Almighty.” 2
Corinthians 6:16-18
It may seem lonely at first but as
you strip off those who will pull you down and focus on those who will give you
strength to stand up for Jesus. To live right before God, and be holy as He is
holy.
