Pray always... In His Word!

In His Word -1-1-2022
 Pray always...

First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world. For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of His Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers, making request if, by some means, now at last I may find a way in the will of God to come to you. Romans 1:8-10

So please don’t lose heart because of my trials here. I am suffering for you, so you should feel honored. When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. Ephesians 3:13-15

As the new year has come to us in the form of a new date to write out 1-1-2022, I am humbled that the Lord has brought us through so much in the past two years. More than that I am waxed nostalgic as I look back to my years as a Christian and think on the things the Lord has brought me to and through. Some were hard,  hard to understand, hard to explain and hard to get through.  In the same way that we got through the past two years we will walk through this one and come out the other side. Paul tells the Ephesians in the scripture above not to loose heart because he is suffering for his ministry but instead he gives them an example and tells them to do the same. He shares that he got on his knees and prayed. When he thinks o all he has gone through, he thanks God. He praised the Creator, His Savior, the Father God.

We need to also take on his example and get on our knees.

Sometimes I cannot put my knees down without a lot of padding, especially in the winter, but when I do I feel as if I have accomplished a sacrifice of praise in my prayer time. It is not always easy to get up and down but even when we cannot for whatever reason we can humble our hearts and as some preachers say 'bow our hearts' in prayer.

That means we can be humble before the Lord giving Him all honor and praise.

So, here we go! Let's start off the year right my friends; let us bow down and pray and thank God for the year ahead and ask Him to direct our paths no matter if we get it, or understand what He tells us to do but that we will just walk in it. Follow His Word, His wisdom and His wonderful example and walk according to the will of the Lord.  Ask God to not just bless us this year but to help us to bless others in Jesus' name!

I thank God, whom I serve with a pure conscience, as my forefathers did, as without ceasing I remember you in my prayers night and day, 2 Timothy 1:3

Now get to it!
