The gift of Kindness- Advent Day 4~ 12-4-21

The Gracious gift of Kindness ! Advent Day 4

What if you did not worry about the way others treated you and just blessed them with good things?

Today I baked individual Oatmeal Apple tarts for three people in my house. That was my gift of kindness to them, but it was an advent day focused on sweetness too! So my words were to share the sweetness of God. So how much more sweet can He be than to give us His son so that we could fellowship with Him in person. Really it is more like we can know how to fellowship with Him in person. Thanks to Jesus we can communicate straight with God without going through someone else. For some reason some people did not get that message but that does not mean the door is not unlocked for them to invite Him in and sit down and 'sup with' them.  He stands at the door and knocks, its our job to open the door. Revelation 3:20

lt is just one of the blessings that He has given us. Since He has blessed us let's be sweet to someone today and bless them in some way!  Maybe it will be letting a tired cashier know that he is important and that he matters to us, and that we appreciate his long hours at this time of year. Maybe it will encouraging your mailman with a simple 'thank you' for bringing your mail. Or maybe you will give your kids an individual snack after school? Whatever you do choose it wisely and be grateful for the glorious grace He has gifted you with today!

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.  God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.  So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding. Ephesians 1:1-8
