Keep it going -Advent Day 10~ 12-10-21

Sometimes it is hard to keep going through work, and shopping, and baking, and work parties, and school events, and church pageants. Just because it is December it seems like we suddenly can do anything and have to do it to keep our jobs, to keep our kids fed, to keep the lights we put up to celebrate on.  Then there are the people to deal with, the loving family members and co workers who need our attention what seems like every moment we are not working at our job or the other things mentioned. How do we even find time to think, let alone know what we believe?

Keep it going! Advent Day 10 ~

Do you ever just feel like you are neglecting the One person who its all about? Don't worry! God has forgiven you for overbooking yourself before and He will forgive you again. We just need to remember that His rest is perfect and that even in the necessary business He will give us grace.  Our job is the prioritize though, to make sure we are putting God first then the rest will fall into place!

So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe.  This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. Hebrews 4:14-16

Don't get caught upin worry over what will happen tomorrow or how you can get it all done, but instead seek God first.

These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs.  Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today."                                                             Matthew 6:32-34

Our God shall supply all our needs according to His riches, that includes the time we need with family and the rest but we need to put Him first in our day. Start your day in the Word. If you look to the right side of this article you will find several books that have daily reading assignments. 365 Days in His Love has short daily reads and thoughts and prayers to keep you on track. The Journey series books have a bit longer read. Still they are fairly short. The Follow on Hindsfeet has projects and things to get excited about a Bible and a book study together!

Check them out and start your day right! Put your trust in the Lord!
