All-- in His Word, Advent 22~12-22-21

It is inside out day! Check the date!

It is funny how easy it is to get busy and miss a day!  I ahve been running around just doing normal stuff, getting housework done, helping family members and getting stuff in the mail. Then I realized last night as I lay my head to rest that I had not published my blog! One of the joys of being your own boss is that you do not have to 'brow beat' yourself over it but just accept that you blew it.

It's good to remember that we are not God.

Years ago I was carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders and headed to the altar. While I knelt there weeping my eyes out a pastor walked up behind me put his hand on my shoulder and prayed. As I was finally finished emptying my heart and soul out he asked me, "Are you finished trying to be God?"

I was shocked at first, but then realized that was what I was doing! I thought I had the answers and was giving it all to Jesus as part of that. Still, I had been trying to fix all the problems myself, then running to the Lord when it was too much for me.

One of my favorite scriptures to quote is Proverbs 3:5-6. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not in your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.

This scripture is the back bone of my existence. I know that we have to trust him with all, not just part of our heart and love Him will all our heart, soul, mind and strength. I know that when I acknowledge, and pay attention to His direction that things seem to work out easier than when I try to handle it all. I have much more peace, more joy, and more able to leap over a wall, when I put my trust in God instead of myself.

Life is not always easy, especially at this time of year. There are so many todo list items that pile up. There are extra issues this year as many are out shopping more than normal, the stores are more crowded normally but still there are a lot of customers in the places of shopping. This can cause stress, and worry that something will go wrong, or that things will run out if we do not trust in the Lord and follow His guidance in all things.

In all our ways, everything we do, we need to trust that He will direct us right.

Let's make today's challenge to be to acknowledge God. Understand that He is with us in all that we do, all that we do. All that we do. Let us remember to thank Him for all that He does too! Because without Him we are nothing, He is our creator.

Secondly let's trust Him today.  Whatever we are walking through today and tomorrow He is with us and He will not leave us so we can trust Him to take care of us. In Jesus' name.
