“Is anyone thirsty? Come and drink— even if you have no money! Come, take your choice of wine or milk— it’s all free! Why spend your money on food that does not give you strength? Why pay for food that does you no good? Listen to me, and you will eat what is good. You will enjoy the finest food. “Come to me with your ears wide open. Listen, and you will find life. I will make an everlasting covenant with you. I will give you all the unfailing love I promised to David. See how I used him to display my power among the peoples. I made him a leader among the nations. You also will command nations you do not know, and peoples unknown to you will come running to obey, because I, the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, have made you glorious.” Seek the Lord while you can find him. Call on him now while he is near. Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to the Lord that he may have mercy on them. Yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive generously. “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. Isaiah 55:1-8
We think we know it all, but we do not know
anything. Our Lord God, Adonai he knows the best thing and He knows that all things
are temporary, not for ever except if He chooses to make them so.
This virus time we are living in, let us find the
best in it. Let us draw nearer to those in our ‘bubble’ of friends and family.
Let us work to keep things clean and not dirty around us, let us use good hygiene
and wash our hands more, not go out when we are sick. These are good things we
should have been doing. More important let us call upon the name of the Lord
that He would establish a personal covenant with each of us that we would know
Him more, that we would see the good things He has put before us to walk to and
to keep our world in control. After all God gave man control of the earth in Genesis
twice, once with Adam, who kind of messed things up fast, and then again with
Noah. Noah began the good work in following and walking with God.
One thing I have learned more than anything else
in the study of Genesis this year is that man is weak. We are fallible, and we
give up way too fast! We think we cannot stand another day of staying home,
then make foolish choices. We need to be cautious, remain separated from among
them, so to speak and seek God daily. Do not give up on Him! For He is the Lord
God almighty! HE is the God of Gods, the Lord of Lords and the King of
Kings! He has it in His control to stop
the faucet of the virus, He has the controls, but we need to acknowledge Him!
The He will make our path straight.
“Acknowledge Defined: admit, accept, grant
accept or admit the existence or truth of, allow, concede, confess, own, appreciate,
recognize, realize, be aware of, be considerate of, be conscious of, agree to recognize
the fact or importance or quality of.
Trust Him with all our hearts, do not try to
figure it out but acknowledge Him…Proverbs 3:5-6 says this, that He will make
our path straight. If you go back to the beginning and read the full chapter God
speaks to us; He says…
My child never
forget the things I have taught you.
Store my commands in your heart. If you do this, you will live many years, and your life will be satisfying. Never let loyalty and kindness leave you! Tie them around your neck as a reminder. Write them deep within your heart. Then you will find favor with both God and people, and you will earn a good reputation. Proverbs 3:1-4
He goes on to tell us not to be too wise in our
own hearts, but to seek Him and He will take care of us today. So do not worry
about things that go on around you; see God and follow Him and you will find
peace, joy and direction for your personal life. Then you will see the good in
others and help to bring that out instead of evil, then you will know His love
and share it with others without even trying!
Our God will supply all our needs according to His
way when we put our trust in Him to do so. His way is not our way, His thoughts
are not our thoughts they are so much more! We see things as doomed today but He
sees the future things it will be instead of what we thought it should be. He
gives us a cake instead of a cupcake! Our God works in big ways, so let’s make
room for that! Let us make room for Him to move in big ways, not just the small
ways. Watch for the water that does not shut off, because it does not run dry,
our God, the Living Water that flows and keeps us strong. Seek Him while He may
be found! Draw near to Him… and He will draw near to you my friend. Put space
for God in your day, starting and ending with His presence being acknowledge in
your life will make a world of difference!
As the Scriptures say, “God opposes the proud but
gives grace to the humble. We will find peace, joy, and love and so much more, when we humble ourselves and
put our trust in Him, In Jesus’ name.
