Give God... the Glory Due His Name! - In His Word 6-22-2020
This country, this world is going wild! Many are running in fear, others are instigating fear in people. What are you doing about it all? A lot of people are praying for the nations, for their countries, families, and friends. Overall, it is a time in our lives for people to get down and get serious with God! We need to seek God!
My God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory, He shall give his angels charge over me…
I know I am okay because my God is with me. He will not leave me nor forsake me wherever I go.
What if someone does not know the Lord? What if they do not understand that He is in control? Where do they go to find peace, hope, or solace?

But the end of all things is at hand, therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers. And above all things have fervent love for one another, for love will cover a multitude of sins. Be hospitable to one another without grumbling. As each of you has received a gift minister it to one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If anyone speaks let him speak the oracles of God. If anyone ministers let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and dominion forever and ever amen. 1 Peter 4: 7
It is our job, those of us who know the Lord God, to share with those around us in life who do not, so that they may have peace, joy, and eternal life!
It is our job to give God the glory for the good things that happen by sharing His Word, and our testimonies. We need to be telling them in word and deed. Jesus could come at any moment, we do not know God’s timing, and we do not know if this is the end or just another epidemic that will be recorded in history.
(Isaiah 55:8)

Are you telling people about God?
Are you being open to those around you or are you getting on the bandwagon of fear?
We are known by our fruits, God’s people. We need to be fruitful and share God’s love around us and not get caught up in the cares of this world. Even if we are shut in place we can reach out by way of the internet, or mail to encourage someone. We can drop a letter on someone’s walkway or porch and walk 6 feet away while they open the door. We can do many things to share God’s blessings with others.
I noticed a friend is inviting her neighbors via a church invite card and sharing where to go to watch a video or streaming live service, or experience and receive Christ. That is the kind of thing I am talking about that we need to do. Whether you are able to pass out cards or share your beliefs or encouragement in a text or social media you and I need to be doing something. We cannot just stay away from it all and allow people to die in their sins. They need to know God and have His love cover their multiple sins, just as He does ours. We need to invite people as it becomes legal to come to our homes and share in a time of fellowship and perhaps the Word could be spoken there to bring them the Truth? His Word will not come back void after all, it will complete the task to which it was intended by the Holy Spirit.
I could have a break down and stress out over the things I have heard or seen in this world but instead I choose peace. I choose to focus on the things that are good and right. I deal with the things that come as they come, occasionally that means I have a slight melt down until I remember who my God is. Once I gain that perspective I can move forward and not hang on to that which has caused the melting but to allow myself the authority to tell it to leave me alone in Jesus’ name!  I can refocus my thoughts, refocus my direction and follow Him once again.
I want my heart and mind to be ready when Jesus comes… whenever that is! It may not be tomorrow or even here, next week but I know my God will return someday and I want to be upright and ready to follow along with Him.
Dear Heavenly Father, guide our steps, make straight the way before us that we may walk in peace, hope, and joy. Open the doors that we may share Your love and direction with others. Make us ready Lord, see if there be anything in us that needs to be tossed and help us not to horde them but to get rid of it that we may walk complete and ready before you. In Jesus’ name, amen.
