Dailies ~ December 2019

Dailies ~ In His Word
December 28, 2019

We have just a couple of days left of our 2019 calendar and I have to say this has been a fairly good year. It has been a year of changes, of gatherings, of being brave as I watched my young adult son graduate from University as well as start his own life in another state! I say I had to be brave because I am an overprotective annoying mother who wants to stay on the ‘helicopter’ and keep directing his life to where I think it should be.
I often wonder how God the Father felt when Jesus the Son was walking on earth. Did he tell him what way to turn? Or did He leave Jesus to go to wherever He was led? I also know that the moment that Jesus cried out today’s verse on the cross that He felt alone in the world and on his own. Just for that moment.
My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, so far from my cries of anguish? Psalm 22:1

There are times when we feel that way too, we stand in the middle of a situation and wonder if God has given up on us because we wandered too far out on the thin ice and are about to sink through the cracks, about to plunge into the water. Sometimes we really take a plunge!
Suddenly as we sink a heavenly hand reaches into the depths of icy water, and pulls us up
He reminds us that he will never leave us nor forsake us as he wraps us in his arms warming us to our very soul.
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” Hebrews 13:4

Let’s live right before God in 2020 and as they say have good vision for what He has placed before us! How about we make it focus to remember that God is with us in all that we do an trust Him with our lives!
Heavenly Father, thank you for all you do to protect us; especially the things we do not see! Help us to trust you more in the coming year and stop being such whiners! In Jesus’ name, amen.
