Dailies~ In His Word
November 2019
Sometimes it feels like we
are the only ones out there who believe in the Lord Jesus as a Savior; don’t give
up hope of finding another believer. No matter how people treat you because of
your beliefs or your skin color or size or looks; God loves you and He made you
who you are. He has a plan for you, (Jeremiah 29:11). He will never leave you (Hebrews
13:5 ) no matter how much you may feel alone in your life, sometimes its even
in a crowd.
He will never give up on you;
don’t give up on Him. Trust Him to come through for you, no matter what you are
going through because He will!
And let us not grow weary while doing good, for
in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Galatians 6:9
Now I know that sounds like a
bunch of…”pat answers” you know the kind that are like when you are crying
because of some sort of traumatic event and they just pat you on the back and
say, “there—there, it will be okay”. But they ring true once you have been through
the storm and come out on the other side!
One year while driving back
from dropping my daughter off at University in Arizona, my youngest son and I
were driving through the grapevine area of the mountains near Bakersfield,
California. The sky was suddenly so dark and the cloud was touching the ground
there was sheet lightening and I was worried we would have to stop someplace and
wait for the storm to blow over. The little Rav4 was being blown by the wind but
it did have 4-wheel drive capabilities so I kept going. We prayed as we drove,
hail came own, snow even, and then just when I thought it would never clear… it
did! The sun was shining on the steep down
grade, thankfully. As we descended from the darkness we came into a brilliant
bright sunny day. Though we could not see that in the darkness of
the cloud and it was quite scary, God had us in His care.
Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you
have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave
you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: "The Lord is my helper; will not fear. What can man do to me?" Hebrews 13:5-6
Heavenly Father, Help us to
remember that You are with us and not to allow worry to overwhelm us but to
trust You to bring us out of the darkness into the light. In Jesus’ name, amen.
