~ In His Word
November

Therefore, since God in
his mercy has given us this new way, we
never give up. We reject all shameful deeds and underhanded
methods. We don’t try to trick anyone or distort the word of God. We tell the
truth before God, and all who are honest know this. If the Good News we preach
is hidden behind a veil, it is hidden only from people who are perishing. Satan,
who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe.
They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t
understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of
God. You see, we don’t go around preaching about ourselves. We preach that
Jesus Christ is Lord, and we ourselves are your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God,
who said, “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in
our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus
Christ. 2 Corinthians 4:1-6
I could stop here and you
would have received a wonderful devotional without my words! God’s Word says it
all. Still, to apply this to our lives we have to stop and think or a moment.
Ask yourself can you hold yourself up to these standards? Are you able to shine
the Light of Jesus without hindrance today? Do you have fears that you will not
say it just so? I believe that when we are ready to be that Light then God will
switch on the power by the Holy Spirit within you. When we share the gospel of
our Lord, they will see a shining light in our eyes! It’s not something we can do ourselves; but
that God does when we open our mouths to speak. He will draw them to Him when
we give the words He gives us to speak a chance!
Share the love of Jesus
today with some one you meet, share His life plan and His hope; they will come
to Him in time but share while you have the time.
Heavenly Father, help us
to speak the truth in Love, and share about Your story that others will come to
know You too, in Jesus’ name amen.
