Dailies ~ in His Word

1 Corinthians chapter 2 speaks to us
of the wisdom of faith. It is not in our human ability to have faith but the power
of the God who is the very thing we have faith in; that can move a mountain, or
calm a sea, heal the sick and give us the strength to go on when our heart
feels like failing. The Spirit of the living God is whom we have faith in to do
these things; He is the granter of our faith.
Paul said, “I was with you in
weakness, in fear and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching were
not with persuasive words of humans’ wisdom, but in the demonstration of the
Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in
the power of God. 1 Corinthians 2:3-5
He continues on through the chapter speaking
of the wisdom of trusting God with our faith not just man, and what we know;
but to trust the Spirit of God to give us Godly wisdom that may not always make
sense to man, but with God’s Spirit will make perfect sense. Sometimes we have
to keep silent about what He reveals to us, and other times we need to speak.
Paul refers to the fact that the rulers were made blind to who Jesus really was
or they would not have crucified Him and thus the ultimate sacrifice would not
have happened. That would mean we were still in our sin. Sometimes things have
to happen in life because God has a bigger plan than we can see. We have to trust that He knows what He is
doing… after all He created the world that we live in I think He can figure out
what is best for us in the long run.
Looking back through life, and then
looking ahead we can probably see a few things that God has done and how what
seemed bad was made good for our future. Though we cannot know the full future
until we live in we can know that our future with Christ our Lord will be ‘to
the good’ as long as we put our faith, in His wisdom and not man’s.
Let’s think on these things… in Jesus’
love, we put our trust, hope, and faith.
Heavenly Father, thank you for Godly
wisdom for Godly direction and for Godly faith, love and hope that brings us
and You joy when we accept and spread them. Thank you for those you put in our
lives, even if its for a short time, in Jesus’ name, amen.
