Dailies ~ In His Word
September 5, 2019
God gives us riches, he allows us to get as rich as
we can handle, but then He knows the evil it can bring. Some of us have great
wealth and yet it is nothing, were others have great wealth and it is a hugely
great burden upon us. According to Solomon
all is vanity! It doesn’t really matter if God chooses to bless us with riches
or if we live in poverty; God’s Word is still what is important. So is it
easier to become rich and serve the Lord? Some would say yes. But as Jesus said
“It is easier for a rich man to go through the eye of a needle that to enter
the kingdom of God”.
Why is that? Because it is all too heavy of an opportunity
to ‘not need’ God if we are rich in money. For we are a people who long to be
self sufficient and take care of ourselves but our God wants to take care of
us. So those we are strong Christians and rich are very strong! It kind of gives you a different view of rich
folks doesn’t it?
Wise
men and fools alike spend their lives scratching for food and never seem to get
enough. Both have the same problem, yet the poor man who is wise lives a far
better life. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush; mere dreaming of
nice things is foolish; it’s chasing the wind. Ecclesiastes 6:7-9
It goes on to say its not worth arguing with God
about it cause basically He knows what will happen and what we are supposed to
do. Our job is to listen to Him and do what He directs us to do, walk where He
shows us to walk.
Today lets try not to stress over what is happening
tomorrow, lets just think on today!
Wherefore, if
God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast
into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take
no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal
shall we be clothed? (For after all
these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knows that ye have
need of all these things. Matthew 6:30-32
God only knows where you will go tomorrow and what
will happen to hinder or guide you from your appointed rounds. Lets make it a
choice to trust Him to do what He is here to do!
Heavenly Father, thank you for directing our path,
for making our way straight and or guiding us along the way step by step. Help
us to follow you, in Jesus’ name, amen.
