Dailies ~ In His Word
August 2019
When we pray for healing, or for direction we need to be
sure that we are right with God, we need to be strong spiritually. We need to
have faith that God will answer our needs according to His plan. Sometimes that
is not what we sought for, but He always has a plan.
Therefore strengthen
the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees, and make straight paths for your
feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed. Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see
the Lord: looking
carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root
of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled; lest there be any fornicator or profane
person like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright. For you know that afterward, when he wanted to inherit the
blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he
sought it diligently with tears. Hebrews 12:12-17
It is not about how much we beg or cry that brings God to
grace, it is about how much love He has for us. Esau was so hungry he
frivolously sold his birthright without thinking about what he was doing until
it was too late. God has chosen us to follow Him, we have chosen to listen.
Though that may mean we are hungry or a season we need to have patience that He
will come through in His time. He will do this because He really loves us.
Behold what
manner of charity the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called,
and should be the sons of God. Therefore the world knows not us, because it
knew not him.
1 John 3:1
We have to remember that faith believes that the thing is
so that we do not see, and cannot comprehend how it happens. We are to just
trust Him, and we can because He loves us! Due to His loving us we can be sure
and certain that He will take care of our needs, and put us on the path that He
has planned for us. As I said above this sometimes means we wait for the food
and not take whatever is thrust out to us to eat with a possible ultimatum.
We need to discern from God and man. When God is or us nothing
can stand against us, and then we just have to walk in the path before us. He
will direct our path! Proverbs 3:5-6.
Heavenly Father, help us to trust You to direct us and to
patiently wait to get the answers we seek. In Jesus’ name, amen.
