~in His Word

2019
Some days I just feel weak. I call
it feeling my age when it’s my body but what about when we feel weak in our
faith? What about when we are not sure that we are hearing from God?
Then we wait.
You know, we hear it all the time
from people around us while watching something exciting happen, “wait for it!” That’s what I hear from the Lord when the
thing I am praying for seems distant or far away from what I expect. Do you
ever feel that way?
As if God is taking for ever?
Wait for it!
But, beloved, do not forget this one
thing, that with the Lord one day is
as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not
slack concerning His promise,
as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing
that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3: 8-9
How will
we ever wait for it? How will we have patience to trust God to complete it? He
is completing it in His time, in His perfect awesome time. We just can’t see it
and we sometimes grow wearing in waiting for Him to come to complete the work
He started. But I am confident of this very thing that He has begun a good work
in us and He will complete it until… it is finished! When it is the right time
it will come to pass so keep praying until you find peace about it, then…
Wait for
it!
He will
renew our strength!
Then we
will rise up an accomplish that which He has given us to do.
But those
who wait on the Lord
shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
Heavenly Father, teach us to wait that we my overcome all obstacles and soar with the eagles! Rejoicing with You, In Jesus' Name, amen
