Dailies~ In His
Word

Sometimes you have to walk through the fire to get the
victory, but it won’t burn you because
Jesus will be there!
We people today are such wimps! Look at the full story in Chapter 3 of the
book of Daniel but three men stood up to the king, and the kings advisers, saying
they would not bow down to Him and that they did not have to answer the king in
that matter.
They served the living God and they only bowed down to Him.
So the King threw them in the fire! He had to because it was
what he had decreed but that being said, these three went into a furnace so hot
it killed the soldiers who put them there. And yet they came out un-torched,
un-scorched and basically unharmed.
Therefore, because the king’s command was urgent, and the
furnace exceedingly hot, the flame of the fire killed those men who took up
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego. And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego,
fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished; and he rose in
haste and spoke, saying to his [d]counselors,
“Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?”
They answered and said to the king, “True, O king.”
“Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking in
the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is
like the Son of God.” Daniel 3:22-25
When we have a trial by fire we can walk through it unharmed
by the situation that we have to walk through if we are honorable to God and
His commands. All we have to do is obey and commit to do His will in our lives
and just do it.
Let’s remind ourselves this today, as we have a hot weather
stream right now where I live it kind of reminded me of this story. Sometimes
you have to walk into the fire to get through the trial. These three were given
blessings and allowed to serve as they saw fit! Also, the king got saved
through it too I think! I know it would be enough for anyone to believe in God
seeing Him stand there with them in the furnace. Let’s remember to trust God no
matter what we have to walk in or through.
Heavenly Father, thank You for being there for these three
men, and thank You for helping us to walk with You likewise, in Jesus’ name
Amen,
