Dailies ~in His Word
May 28, 2019

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. John 15:6
No you are not reading a ‘rerun’ post, you are reading the same scripture for a different reason.
You know sometimes we read through the Bible in a year following one plan or another, then God says “read it again”.  We read through it again and then start a new plan for the next year.  This year as I read I am studying out what may seem random to the onlooker but God is directing me to specific scriptures according to His plan. Today as I opened up my Bible app I saw the above scripture and chuckled. I love it when God does that!  You know, I used this yesterday and He wants me to use it again today!
I know that He wants me to look again at the Word He has given me, give us.
Did I get it wrong yesterday? No, that was for that moment in time. This is for now, today, this moment.
Today He wants us to remember that all things work according to His plan; and that without Him we can do nothing. He knew what I would face as I got up this morning, or rather what my hubby would face.
A flat tire, it moved my schedule a little but the blessing is in the fact that I work mostly from home. I have meetings with people around town and some I can reschedule and one could be moved to a different location. Today we can even do face time on the phone to get in contact with clients or what not.
He knew, and so I believe the scripture popped up on my phone to tell me; your plans are not my plans, we read the other day. Then yesterday abiding with Him was the focus to get a clear answer, or direction in our lives we need to get close to Him live with Him. So, today it is remembering all that will not even happen without Him in our lives. We will not be in perfect peace if our minds are not on Him… stayed on Him. Interesting concept, don’t you think? We can focus on Him when we do this we can live life accepting things as they come with so much more peace than we thought we would have had.
But without Him, we could walk through life empty and alone. With Jesus in our hearts and lives we can have peace and life more abundantly. Focus on His promises, on His hope, and know that with Him, we can do anything!
Heavenly Father, thank you that we can do all things with You, through Christ, and for reminding us again that without you we can do nothing. Help us to remember you are here each moment of each day, in Jesus’ name, amen.
