Dailies In His Word

Dailies~ In His Word
April 8, 2019
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?  Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. Matthew 7:7-12
My Bible titled this “Keep Asking”. I think this stood out to me because sometimes we as humans give up too quickly!
This weekend as we drove off to the retreat I saw sunshine somewhere on the horizon…  I still kept asking for God to come through with the sun! He said “Peace be still just call my name and I will… “ It is part of a song, but He rewrote it for me this week! It does not go, “calm the waves and calm the sea if you only trust in Me” but in my mind and heart it does! And He did!   I think it was a matter of trusting that God had a plan and we were being obedient to follow it!
I kept asking and He keeps on answering! Today as I see the shining sun rising over the trees and house next door I know He is still there answering things I have asked for! So what am I going to do about it? What is my give back? I will walk in the name of the Lord my God, I will obey His Word and I will continue to do what He prompts me to do! I will move forward and share the Gospel, the stories of what He has done for me… I will testify! I will study to show my self approved by God! I will love others as He loves me! I will do the Word!
What will you do with what God has answered you?
Heavenly Father, help us to walk in Your truth, in Your presence, in our lives daily! Thank you, In Jesus name, amen.
