Sometimes just knowing you are right has to be enough.
Noah knew God told him to build an Ark. So many people
laughed at him up until the point of their own demise. The water rose and they
cried out or help but it was just too late.
Joseph was given two dreams when he told them to his
brothers, they were none too pleased. Why would they be? The dream was about
them bowing down to him.
But when
his brothers saw that their father loved him more than all his brothers, they hated
him and could not speak peaceably to him. Now Joseph had a dream, and he
told it to his brothers; and
they hated him even more. Genesis 37:5-6
Yet being
the God trusting man he was Joseph continued to walk in faith while he was
beaten, thrown in a pit, sold as a slave, tossed in a dungeon prison for being
an honorable man; and eventually his brothers were made to bow to him as Pharaoh’s
second hand man!
Sometime
we are called to be something big, a speaker, a preacher an evangelist; but we
have to wait for it t be fulfilled. Abram was called to be a father of many
nations, Abraham. He had to wait for a lifetime and be prepared to give up his
son from an old age to see this begin to happen! In his grand kids and great
grand kids many nations were created in the Promised Land!
Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he
offered Isaac his son on the altar? Do you see that faith was working together with his
works, and by works faith was made perfect? And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for
righteousness.” And he was called the friend of
God. You see then
that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.
James 2:22-24
So why do we fret over things that
take forever to come to pass? These men and women of the Bible days had to wait
through and for much more! Trust God and carry on!
If He said it would happen, it will
be done. His will be done!
Heavenly Father, help us to wait on
You to be the one who brings to pass the things you have promised. Help us to
not stress out or try to do things ourselves that You have already set in
motion to take a specific amount of time and experiences to bring it to pass.
