Dailies ~ In His Word
March 30, 2019
As we come to the end of March I am looking outside at the flowers and enjoying sunshine. It makes me think of the storms we have been through and how much growth the gardens will get because of the massive rains we had.
Even in a dessert flowers pop after a storm. So, why not find the flowers in the storms of life? When we go through a stormy place in our lives we can get shaken, blown over, or uprooted by emotional or even sometimes physical problems. We can get all caught up in the problems and forget that live still goes on around us.
While we fight to get to shore for safety the waves may be crashing in on us, but God has a plan!
When Paul was a prisoner for sharing the Gospel he was shipwrecked on an island but all the people were saved even though the ship was lost. The people he got to share with were innumerable! I am sure the amount of people he could bring to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ was worth the weathering of the storm.
Sometimes life gets extremely rough, people are sick, houses are destroyed, or maybe God moves you because of a job. Injuries happen, cars have issues; but what God is going to do with it is the important thing.  Now when neither sun nor stars appeared for many days, and no small tempest beat on us, all hope that we would be saved was finally given up. But after long abstinence from food, then Paul stood up in the midst of them and said, " Men, you should have listened to me, and not have sailed from Crete  and incurred this disaster and loss. For there stood by me this night and angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve, saying, 'Do not be afraid, Paul; you must be brought before Ceasar; and indeed God has granted you all those who sail with you.' Therefore take heart, men for I believe God..." Acts 27:20-26
Heavenly Father, thank you for guiding us through the storms of life and keeping us all safe as we put our trust in You. In Jesus’ name, amen
