Dailies ~in His Word
March 29, 2019
Paul cared about the Ephesians a lot and he prayed that they would have
spiritual wisdom. We too should pray for this type of wisdom because we do not
want to be unwise nor do we want our brothers and sisters in the Lord to be
mistaken and lead astray by strange doctrine or false god worshipers. In this
day and age, probably more than before, it is important to have spiritual
wisdom. We can get this by prayer requesting it as well as through the reading
of His Word. We have been given the Holy Spirit which seals us as Christians. (Ephesians
1:13) Since we have the Holy Spirit then we can gain the wisdom and knowledge
for any situation we need by gleaning it from His presence with us. Still we
need to read the Word and know what it says so that we may hide it in our
hearts and minds to draw on. When we put our trust and faith in Jesus to help
run our lives we can find so much enlightenment in the Word. You know, the “Oh,
that’s it!” kind of moments?
Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and
your love for all the saints, do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my
prayers: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may
give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what
is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His
inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power
toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power
Ephesians 1:15-19
Let’s make a plan to get deeper in our relationship with God via the
Holy Spirit helping us as we dig deeper in the Word!
Heavenly Father, open Your Word to us today and help us to understand
why you brought us to the scriptures we read today. Guide us in every step as
we walk in Your Word. In Jesus’ name, amen.
