13,
Hey
looking at these weather reports today I see snow, with people being stuck in
their cars. I see rain flooding streets and keeping people on the road longer
than they wish. I also see people stopping to help one another through troubles
that come at them. Be kind today with the people around you in this crazy
weather; the joy you can spread on a rainy day is essential to a lot of peoples
lives. Maybe even yours!
Keep
on loving each other as brothers and sisters. Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers,
for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it! Remember those in prison, as if you were there yourself.
Remember also those being mistreated, as if you felt their pain in your own
bodies. Hebrews 13:1-3
There
are a ton of problems that arrive when the rain and snow hit each winter.
Though people think they are prepared, or some maybe not even nearly prepared,
there is always an issue to deal with from leaky roofs to flooded streets.
Power outages can cause a lot of fear. Today I want to tell you not to worry
about any of these problems if they come at you just ask yourself; “What is God
going to do with this?” see what the trial of the moment will bring in your
walk with God or someone else’s.
If
you are stuck at home due to inclement weather pray for people during your
solitary time, or spend time enjoying your kids if you are stuck home with the
family. Play board games, hide and seak inside or build a fort under the table
and use flashlights to make things even more fun and teach preparedness.
Be
sure you have your flashlights charged! We are so blessed today to have
connection to light even at our fingertips in our phones; we are also blessed
to have the connection to the Light of the world to share with others that we
may get stuck in with!
Remember
to share the love of God with those around you as you snuggle in deep warm of a
fire, or enjoy the company of the travelers in your car. Stay safe in Jesus’
company you are not stuck alone!
Heavenly
Father, thank you for being a light in the darkness, help us to spread your
light by helping other people to get through the storms of life by pointing
them to you, in Jesus name, amen
