Dailies ~in His Word
Day 32- February 1
There are so
many people that give a ton of money or time in December so that they can claim
in to their taxes in the new year. Its all good they say but I think the Word
of God tells me different. It says to me that what ever we do we must do it
with the right attitude or motive.
If I gave
everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about
it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing. Love is
patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or
rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no
record of being wronged. 1 Corinthians 13:3-6
It doesn’t matter how much
work you do at church or in the community if it’s all for personal gain. It’s
not about you getting the glory but about God doing what He does through you.
He has a purpose for all you do, go through, or walk in; even if it’s smelly
sometimes. He can take anything and bring good from it if we love Him.
A game my kids used to enjoy playing when
they were small was finding Jesus in anything. If you look around you today you
can find His imprint on pretty much anything you can think of, or see. For
without Him we are nothing, because God is
love!
Heavenly Father, thank you for giving
us a part of Yourself when You gave us your Love, help us to share it with
others today. In Jesus’ name, amen.
