Do you get nervous
when you are about to start something new?
Is it fearful to step up and step into what God has called you to do?
Get over it! I
say this to my self, you can tell yourself the same if you need to.
If God called me
to write, then I can write what He calls me to write.
If God calls me
to speak, then I can speak what He tells me to speak.
If God is my
Lord, then I must follow His commands!
This
is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For
the Lord your God is
with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
For some reason I
forget this when it comes to writing a new devotional, or a story book that is
different than what I usually write. But God told me to write. He has equipped
me with the skills to put words in place on a screen to be printed to a page
that will give someone joy at some point. So why do I freak out over something
new and exciting?
Because I know the
“Be strong and courageous, and do not be afraid and or discouraged” part, but I
forget ‘the Lord is with me’ goes hand in hand in this scripture. I can do it
because He is with me in it! So whatever I go through, writing, or speaking or
just planning an event to do so I need to trust that God is with me I that
aspect of my life as much as He is in another.
So do you!
So what will you
do? I will obey the command of the Lord to Joshua and I! I will be strong and
courageous and I will not be afraid to step out in faith that He is with me in
whatever it is!
Heavenly Father,
thank you that You make me brave! Help me to obey your commands, all of them!
