What manner of Love? In His Word

Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. 1 John 3:1-3

Everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself just as He is pure.  This is the manner or type of love He has given us. It is so amazing to think of the depth of God’s love; it is mind-blowing!
Just think of it for a moment; who would come to our rescue and dump our sins to bring us to heaven after using us to help others to also serve Him .

Behold what manner… His love is give to us from God the Father; such unthinkable love that would lay down his life for his friends. What manner that would bring us into His kingdom as equal sons and daughters with Jesus; now we are children of God. It does not even reveal what exactly the extent of God’s love towards us is.

……and may you be able to feel and understand, as all God’s children should, how long, how wide, how deep, and how high his love really is; and to experience this love for yourselves, though it is so great that you will never see the end of it or fully know or understand it. And so at last you will be filled up with God himself. Ephesians 3:18-19

This is one of those I need to go back a few scriptures to get it moments!

When I think of the wisdom and scope of his plan, I fall down on my knees and pray to the Father of all the great family of God—some of them already in heaven and some down here on earth— 16 that out of his glorious, unlimited resources he will give you the mighty inner strengthening of his Holy Spirit.  And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts, living within you as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God’s marvelous love;  and may you be able to feel and understand, as all God’s children should, how long, how wide, how deep, and how high his love really is; and to experience this love for yourselves, though it is so great that you will never see the end of it or fully know or understand it. And so at last you will be filled up with God himself. Ephesians 2:14-19

God’s plan to make us want to love Him better than we love ourselves and to share that same kind of love with others around us is built or planted with such deep roots that it cannot be removed.
Have you ever had a stubborn root? One that would not let go of the ground it was rooted in? A bitter heart can be like this, and we do not want to have one of those. The good news is that we do not have to; For God so loved the world…. God’s love for us in the message that is the first message is to love one another, and in doing so we will be loving Christ Jesus our Lord and our Savior. In loving Him we will be able to love one another and not stress over out ward appearances or anything like that. We will be able to love Christians and spend time with them who are nothing like us; who have but one thing in common which is the Love of Jesus in our hearts.

How natural it is that I should feel as I do about you, for you have a very special place in my heart. We have shared together the blessings of God, both when I was in prison and when I was out, defending the truth and telling others about Christ. Only God knows how deep is my love and longing for you—with the tenderness of Jesus Christ.  My prayer for you is that you will overflow more and more with love for others, and at the same time keep on growing in spiritual knowledge and insight, Philippians 1:7-9

The Root of our soul is not bitter if it is surrounded and supported by the Holy Spirit and the love of Christ in us. So, with that Root , that goes deep into our soul it will not be bitterness that comes out of us but it will be filled with love, hope, peace, joy, comfort, and joy unspeakable; it will be full of forgiveness that is beyond our imagination too.
For if God is for us, no one, no thing can stand against us.

For God is love. If Love is for us… no bitter root of the enemy can stand against us either!
Dear Heavenly Father Help us to love one another and not to get caught up in the cares of this world. Show us the Words to read to encourage us in Jesus name. Amen
