He cares.. In His Word 2-19-18

He cares to delight in us- In His Word- 2-19-18

Do you ever have a moment, or maybe
it may seem like a lifetime of moments, when you feel like no one really cares? Whether it is about how you feel, or what you do, or if you do something you think you should have done; does anybody really care?

Maybe you are working out, trying to loose your weight that is unhealthy for you. You are trying hard to compete the physical activities, eating right and feeling pretty good about yourself loosing a few pounds here and there; but no one notices but you. Does it matter?

You could be the one person who shows up to work early to set the break room snacks out, you start the coffee so that when Julie walks into the office she smells it and has a wonderful day because of that delightful scent wafting through the room. It puts a smile on her face. Does anyone really care?

Maybe you are the sole financial growth for your family, you are the spouse who goes out to work each day, struggling to make it through each moment of stressful paperwork and details to complete. You return to your loving family who asks you for money, eats the food your job provides and very rarely thinks to thank you for your hard work.

Does anybody really care?

The Lord directs the steps of the Godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble they will never fall for the Lord holds them by the hand. Psalm37:23-24

The Lord our God does! He delights in every moment of our lives! He cares about every hangnail, every stubbed toe and every pile of ‘to do’ lists; He notices those pounds lost, and He applauds you for your efforts.

Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has seen God at any time. (But) If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. 1 John 4:11-12

God’s love is in us if we are true Christians, and as much as He loves us; we need to pass on that love. We need to know that those around us need to know someone cares as much as we do. As we know ‘it’ is not about us; but sharing God’s love with those He chooses to bring across our paths in life.

If the Lord delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us, ‘ a land which flows with milk and honey.’ Numbers 14:8

Since the Lord delights in us, what will you do with the land He gives you?

The land I am thinking of at the moment is a spiritual application of the land; the portion of the world you live in.  Every piece of ground that you walk on is owned by God; some say that ground is yours to take. But what does that mean? What does it mean to possess the land? It means that is your mission; that is your portion of blessing to live in. We can  know that Christ Jesus made a way for us to receive the promise of salvation to give it to those around us and that we can live our lives knowing that we are a delight to Him, and He will delight us with the desires of our hearts.

When I think about it, if something delights me then I more than just care about it; I relish in the fact that it is. God enjoys us to the fullest; He cares.

Who is a God like You, pardoning iniquity and passing over the transgressions of the remnant of His heritage? He does not retain His anger forever, because He delights in mercy. He will again have compassion on us, and will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.  Micah 7:19-20

Because God cares, and we are to be like Him, we must also have compassion on those waking in sin still. Just because He has brought us out of the darkness of sinfulness in our lives does not mean we should think of ourselves better than those still in sin. On the contrary; we should seek and to save the lost, just as Christ did for us. He sought us, followed us and waited for us to realize He was there. Then He gave us a new life, a new outlook and cleaned us up. We should seek out others who are afraid that no one cares about them before it is too late.

From watching or reading the news we all should know the time is short and many people even today are crying out for help not knowing that God is there to help them. God delights in us, let us give others that same hope, that same joy unspeakable and that same knowledge and connection to Jesus Christ.

He cares.

He cares if your shoelace is untied, if your foot hurts or your dinner got burned because you were busy picking up after the kids. He cares when you get an ‘A’ on your report card, or when you just get out of bed on those days when you really would rather stay there.

He cares that you have desires in your heart. He will delight with us over the desires of our hearts! He will also bring them to pass when we chose to delight ourselves in Him.

Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.

Delight yourself also in the Lord and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4-6

People may not think God cares about the little things but isn’t He the one who said for us not to despise the days of small beginnings? Let’s be intentionally delighted toward our fellow people today. Let’s try to let people know that God delights in them! Share His love, kindness, compassion, and joy with those around you today, this week, and this year!

Be delighted in knowing that God is with you today and that He cares!

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you that You care about our every need today. Help us to pass that on to others and give you more to delight about us! We delight ourselves in You today Lord, In Jesus name. Amen.
