Back to the beginning.. In His Word 1-9-17

History merely
repeats itself. It has all been done before. Nothing under the sun is truly new.
Ecclesiastics 1:9
My little children, these things I write to you, so that
you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus
Christ the righteous. And He
Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for
the whole world. Now by
this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His
commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But
whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we
know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him
ought himself also to walk just as He walked. Brethren, I write no new commandment to you, but an old commandment
which you have had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which
you heard from the beginning. Again, a
new commandment I write to you, which thing is true in Him and in you, because
the darkness is passing away, and the true light is already shining.
1 John 2:1-8

So we have stopped evaluating
others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from
a human point of view. How differently we know him now! This means that
anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a
new life has begun! And all of
this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God
has given us this task of reconciling people to him. 2 Corinthians
5:16-18
God the father told the people to be fruitful
and multiply, Jesus tells us to go tell the world about the Good News of the
Gospel. This is the reason He came to us was so that we could truly multiply
the kingdom, not just in physical numbers but in spiritual numbers as well.
What is a spiritual number?

So for your goals this year why not start
with these three things;
1- Pray
as often as you think to pray. Ask God to direct your path in all areas this
year.
2- Read
the Word, research to find what things He would want from you. Colossians is a
good read for that sort of thing.
3- Listen
to the Holy Spirit speak to you through the Word, and prayer.
Dear Heavenly Father,
direct our paths this year in a way that only You could direct us; by your
Spirit and Your Word bless us, and keep us from stumbling. Help us to be
fruitful this year and bring others into Your kingdom, in Jesus name, amen.
