Those who are
wise will shine as bright as the sky, and those who lead many to righteousness
will shine like the stars forever. Daniel 12:3
Just because we can do something does not mean we should do
it. I was reading in Genesis 16 recently and was noticing how Sarai had been
give a direct word from God and she became worried. She figured that if her
husband was supposed to be the father of many nations that maybe she should
give him her hand maid to sire a child with. Unfortunately once this happened
she became jealous. It was her own fault because she did what many women would
have done in that time period instead of allowing God to take His perfect time.
Due to her trying to do something she could indeed do but should not have done
Ishmael was born and many trials and tribulations have come to the world
because of this young man.
Just because she could do it, doesn’t mean she should have.
Eve had a similar problem. She chose to do something she was
not supposed to do because she was physically able to do it. Look at all the
troubles that came from that one!
When God gives us clear concise direction, whether in His
Word or through other people or events that are obviously confirmed by the Holy
Spirit; we need to allow His direction to play out, and not try to make it happen when and where we think we
should do it.
There will be a time. The Lord will call you out and tell you
the time is now.
and kings to the brightness of thy rising. Isaiah 60:1-3
Just think when Isaiah
shared this if the Gentiles, or non Jews, were forced to become Jewish, or
Hebrews. They would not like this idea and would probably have rebelled against
it for the most part, because God had a different plan we can be sure that it
would not have worked out. Jesus came to earth at the right time in History. He
came at the perfect time for non Hebrews to have heard enough about this person
who would be coming from Hebrews living among them. They had enough hazards and
health issues to know they needed a God to save them. They were ready to hear
and see what the Spirit had for them.
Even the Promised Land
had to come when God saw that the people were ready for it.
When we attend a church
we sometimes become complacent and think we just need to go there because it’s ‘comfortable’
and we have friends there; but God has another idea. He gives us gifts to use,
not to loose. Each one of us has been called by God to a purpose and that
purpose is for a specific time on earth; His timing is perfect.
He hath made every thing beautiful
in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find
out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end. Ecclesiastes
3:11

All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part
of it. 28 Here are some
of the parts God has appointed for the church: first are apostles,
second are prophets, third are teachers, then those who do
miracles, those who have the gift of healing, those who can help
others, those who have the gift of leadership, those who speak in
unknown languages. 29 Are we all
apostles? Are we all prophets? Are we all teachers? Do we all have the power to
do miracles? 1 Corinthians 12:27-29
God has a plan, we can be
sure of it and though the wind blows and trouble comes we must continue on the
path He has given us to walk and wait upon the Lord for His time to come to
pass in our lives.
Wait on the Lord and be of
good courage! Psalm 37:1-37
Dear heavenly Father, Thank
you for expecting great things from each of us today. Help us to connect with
you and start the day off right so that we may know Your will and walk in it,
following your direction in Your time; in Jesus name, amen.
