So Jesus arose
and followed him, and so did His disciples.
And suddenly, a woman who had a flow of
blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the hem of His garment. For she said to
herself, “If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well.”
Matthew 9:19-21
She reached out and barely grabbed the hem, she did not wish to
bother him as she knew he was a busy man healing and teaching, yet she knew it
was what she needed in order to be healed. Her faith was so great that she
knew, without a doubt, that God would heal her if she just touched a portion of
Him.
The effort she put forth after twelve years bleeding, her body
weak with jaundice and yet she did it. She stretched out her hand as he walked
by on the roadway.
What great faith she had, to trust God to heal her. She was
healed, no doubt she spoke of how God healed her, the disciples and those who
saw spoke of her and today many speak of this woman’s healing in order to encourage
others to reach out to God for healing and hope.

Jesus spoke in
Parables to share with people the mysteries of heaven, they were told to
instruct those who had been, or have been, given the insight to understand
them. Not everyone was given ears to hear or eyes to see as the Bible calls it;
there were some whom the blessing of hearing the Word with the heart was not
given. Today even some do not hear and see what He has for us.
And the disciples came and said to Him,
“Why do You speak to them in parables?” He answered
and said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know
the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. For whoever has, to him more will be
given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has
will be taken away from him. Matthew 13:10-12
We read over the Word daily,
sure, but do we ingest it? Do we glean from it? Do we take what we learned, or
read today and plant it that it may grow in someone else’s life?

Mark 4:26-27
How can I plant a seed of
faith, of hope or of peace in someone?
By walking, living, loving
in His Word!
Walk by faith, showing others
by your life style how God has helped you when the roof crashes in on you. Do not go around complaining that people are
not doing what you want, trust God to find the way through to the answer and do
not allow yourself to ‘stress out’ over it but instead truly walk in Him.
Live by faith- more of the
above plus, read the Word with a vengeance, as thy say. Dig in and really study
it out, find out what was going on in the time period and who were the people
involved, write yourself a book report on each days read! Then you will know
the Word, then you will be able to live it. The seeds you plant when you have the
Word of God in your heart and mind will amaze even you! When other people hear what you have been
doing they will do it too! They will become the seed you planted! Its not money
you need, it is God to grow your seeds of faith to help others to trust Him to
provide too by you trusting God in the first place!

Love in Him, Through us God
can love those who would not hear his voice because they have not yet accepted
that He is. We can love those whom we know, and those whom He has put in our
path that may not be easy to love. The girl wandering through the parking lot
with one baby in a stroller and another in
her belly begging for food. The young man wasted on whatever he has been
taking, or drinking, and yet begging for money for his next fix. God wants us to plant seeds there, not just
money, but words of hope that will be implanted in their hearts and minds until
the time for the harvest comes!
Someone did that with me, they spoke of God, the Bible stories in it etc., when I was a child. It took until I was 18 years old for me to ‘get it’ and God harvested me. Some plants grow up quickly, some take a long time. The important thing is that we sow seeds of hope and love; this time of year is easier than others to say, God bless someone while you shop.

Watch their face when you
say it, pray as you walk away for them to have a super day.
Plant the seeds, trust and
have faith that the hem of the garment will be enough to heal and trust God to
bring about the harvest of both!
Dear Heavenly Father, help
us to walk out the faith you have taught us about. Show us the daily things
that You do for us that will build our faith and cause it to grow, so that we
may feed others with the seeds you give us. In Jesus name, amen.
