When you know... In His Word 5-26-2025.
A little reminder today, if you know Or don’t comment, but tell somebody so they too can know!
Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. James 1:2-3
So, when you know something, its in there even when you
forget for a bit that you know it!
Troubles are going to come, daily, weekly or occasionally,
but they come because we live in a fallen world. The good news bad news is
this: God saved us from that fallen world, but we need to remind ourselves of
this or we get caught up in the cares of this fallen world and forget to walk
in wholeness of Christ in us!
“Be still, and know
that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout
the world.” Psalm 46:10
When we walk through the troubles of life we can do one of
two things. Wallow or worship!
If you choose to wallow, that suffering will be longer than
long because you will need to eventually learn what you need to learn.
If you choose to worship the suffering may be long but it
won’t be as hard to manage because your worship of the Lord will lift your
spirit by His Holy Spirit, giving you the strength to endure for the sake of
the growth process, the learning, or the faith building trial.
Now the Old Testament is full of stories about faith
building. Hebrews 11 will tell you all about it. Click that link it should
bring you to the full chapter to read, its too much to post here.
I like to think of the fiery furnace story myself. The guys
who truly lived out their faith over fear moments! Shadrack, Meshach and Abednego
show us how even in an actual furnace of fire we can be unburned when Christ is
with us in it.
So this tells us that when we walk through trials and
troubles of life we can come out stronger in our faith, and in our life walk.
Look here, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we are going to a
certain town and will stay there a year. We will do business there and make a
profit.” How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is
like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone. What you ought to say is, “If the Lord wants
us to, we will live and do this or that.” James 4:13-15 (read on to verse 17).
We don’t know what tomorrow will really be like, we can plan
for it but we know God has His plans too, and life happens! Due to this we need
to trust that God will bring us through. This means we can get through it to
the point God wants us to be in if we remind ourselves to trust Him. After all
we did give our heart to Him when we asked Him in our lives and that means we
are allowing Him to be Lord of our lives, which again, means we are to allow
Him to lead us.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart… Proverbs 3:5-7
So, what we do know is that God is on the throne, He knows
what He is doing, He has got our backs because we have surrendered to His
Spirit in our lives.
What we do know is that God knows what we are going through,
He is with us in our battles via the Holy Spirit; if nothing else that should give
us the faith, the hope, the strength to carry on.
Remember the joy of the Lord is our strength, and we can do
all things through Christ who strengthens us! (Psalm 28 and Philippians 4:13)
And so, dear brothers
and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has
done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find
acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Don’t copy the behavior customs of this world, but let God transform
you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to
know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Romans 12:1-3
Lets do like Paul and accept the things that come, be
content to learn from the hard times and rejoice in the Lord for He is over all
things, the rain, the troubles and the reasons to rejoice in life are all in
His hands today! Trust Him to be with you, in Jesus’ name..
In His Love,
Teresa Wilson
