Sometimes you Just Don’t Wanna…Do it anyway! In His Word 6-30-2024
Some
days you just don’t want to go to work, you don’t want to fix breakfast for the
kids, you don’t want to clean the house, you don’t want to do anything but stay
in bed. Sleep, rest, enjoy life without the struggles. That my friend is when
we need to get up and get going! That is when we need to run the race!
The
struggle bus is real!
Some
days things just keep piling up and you think you will reach the end of the
race but you cannot do it. Things trip you up or pull you down and all you can
do is stress out! You want to run alright but you want to run away! Life gets
like that, it can be good or bad outcome it’s up to us really! Choose good! Choose
wisely!
Stop,
drop and pray!
When
we find our day is out of control or off the plan we need to stop drop and pray.
When
we find we need help but none is there, stop drop, and pray.
When
we are so angry at someone for what they have done that caused our day to go bad;
stop, drop and pray!
I
don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have
already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which
Christ Jesus first possessed me. No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not
achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking
forward to what lies ahead, I press on
to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God,
through Christ Jesus, is calling us. Philippians 3:12-14
We
need to get into His Word and find the strength there to go on! Even when
things seem to be messed up in life. Especially when things are not going the
way you though they were going to go, and mostly whenever your day starts! It is important to read the Word each day.
My
attitude may start out grumbly if I did not sleep well, if I woke too late, or
too early I could be a grumbling grouch. Here’s the thing I learned about
myself. If I start my day thinking God for the day even if I am sleepy, even if
I am running late, my personal attitude changes! It helps me get through them
and on to the day in a great way!
So,
we need to pray, read the Word of God, and praise Him!
Thank
Him right now for your day, that you could live it however He chooses to allow
you to. Now matter how bad it is, you
are here to live it! Ask Him to show you how to change it, if you can, and ask
Him to change you if you cannot.
God
is so good, and He can get us through so much heaviness, we just need to rely
on Him.
Trust
Him today. Ask Him to help you through it all! In Jesus’ name.
Celebrate
Jesus today too!
Then
Nehemiah the governor, Ezra the priest and scribe, and the Levites who were
interpreting for the people said to them, “Don’t mourn or weep on such a day as
this! For today is a sacred day before the Lord your God.” For the people had
all been weeping as they listened to the words of the Law.
And Nehemiah continued, “Go and celebrate with
a feast of rich foods and sweet drinks and share gifts of food with people who
have nothing prepared. This is a sacred day before our Lord. Don’t be dejected
and sad, for the joy of the Lord is your strength!” Nehemiah 8 9-11
