31 Days of Prayer ~in His Word 1-9-2024
At the end of a long week in which I had been evacuated for a fire
next to my little cottage, had my car break down, and ran out of oil for my
stove that was used to heat my home; I realized the true meaning of His rest.
God had given me His rest by giving me peace during my troubles. Even
though I had to endure all thee troubles, Jesus gave me peace to be able to continue
on. I could rest knowing He was providing for my needs. Sounds crazy to some,
but He will help you through so many things through the Holy Spirit giving you
peace today, right now. The ‘peace’ does not always make sence at the time because
you could be thinking about all the worse of it.
Without a car, I could not drive off and find a safe place to wait
out the fire, without a stove to heat my home, what would it do to get back
into my house anyway? Yet God made all of it happen! In His time. God gave me
rest. Fire was put out, car got fixed, and home given a new heater.
My Father has entrusted everything to me. No one truly knows the Son
except the Father, and no one truly knows the Father except the Son and those
to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”
Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry
heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach
you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your
souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”
Matthew 11:27-30
Thank You Lord for giving us peace through the trials and troubles.
Help us to remember that You are there with us in each of them, and all of them!
In Jesus’ name
