31 Days of Prayer ~in His Word 1-30-2024
It is easy to pray for someone who is nice,
when you hear they are sick or hurting you just want to pray for them. God’s
Word tells us that we need to also, and maybe especially pray for those who
persecute us! That means people who are “out to get us” These are the people
who are mean or rude to us. The people who cut us off on the freeway honk and
yell at us when we were driving right! Pray for them, do not get caught up in
anger or frustration. I speak to myself here too!
“You have heard the law that says, ‘Love
your neighbor’[q] and hate your enemy. But I say, love your enemies![r] Pray
for those who persecute you! In that
way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives
his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and
the unjust alike. Matthew 5:34-35
Heavenly
father, I lift up the person who cut me off today, I pray that you would bless
them with a delightful day at work, that the things that caused them to drive
rudely would be stilled and they would have peace in You, in Jesus’ name…
