31 Days of Prayer ~ In His Word 1-3-2024
Yesterday we read the first half of Jesus’ example of how to pray. Today
we continue with our prayer focusing on forgiveness. Jesus forgave us, and we
think that comes first is asking for forgiveness, but He showed us that we can
forgive others who sin us and know that God will also forgive us our sins in
the same way. He goes on for we should not give in to temptation… it will
continue this prayer that says but deliver us from evil, or the evil one in
some versions.
…and forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. And
don’t let us yield to temptation.” Luke11:4
Heavenly Father, thank you for your forgiveness and for helping us
forgive others who may act against us in some wrong way. Help is be strong
against temptation to lash out, and instead share the love of God via
forgiveness. In Jesus’ name, amen.
