31 Days of Prayer ~ In His Word 1-28-2024
Sometimes we start feeling like our prayers
will never be answered as we asked because of whatever reason. It is easy to
get discouraged and stop praying thinking that as some people have foolishly
said “the answer was no” and keep struggling along trying to fix things
ourselves the best we can. God’s Word says to rejoice! To be confident in our
hope! Don’t allow doubt to get into your mindset! Be patient with God and when
your trouble stays longer keep looking to see what God is going to do with it!
Most of all, keep on praying every day, more often than that if needed!
When I was about 8 years old my family was
at a friend’s house swimming when I got too far out to reach the side. At least
I thought I was too far out. I sank to the bottom and came up. I saw the owner
standing at the side of the pool watching as I went down a second time. I came
up floundering but kept trying to reach out. I was certain he was going to let
me drown. I sputtered “Help me” as I went down the third time. Then suddenly a
hand reached down into the water and yanked me up to the dry pavement. He saved
my life! He was just waiting to see if I
was playing around or not. When he saw I was seriously in need, he helped me!
Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient
in trouble and keep on praying. Romans 12:12
Heavenly Father, help us to keep strong in
our faith and trust that You will answer our needs. That You have heard our
prayers and You know the best time to pull us up out of that trouble we are in.
Thank you for reaching your hand down to save us in the right time. In Jesus’
name, amen.
